HOW TO MAKE FRENCH TOAST WITH FRUIT COMPOTE

Fall is here, and French Toast Compote is a season favorite of many cooks. Below is a recipe that shows how to make this meal in a few simple steps. This recipe can also be made without any expensive canning equipment, and without a specific recipe.
Many people are unaware of what compote really is. Compote is similar to jam, but it is much easier to make. There is no need for any extra thickeners when compote is being made. Canning is also not needed during the process of making compote, which mane people are afraid to do. At it’s most basic defintion, compote is fruit. It is then broken apart using heat. A bit of flavor is then added to the mix to complete the delicious treat.
In addition to this being very simple to create, it is also very convenient. Compote can be made up of whatever fruit is sitting in your refridgerator. Many people love compote because they can get rid of any leftover fruit, or anything that is about to expire. Compote can also be cooked in less than an hour. Once the compote is created, it can be poured on your french toast for any easy meal.
Step One
The first step in making compote is throwing whatever fruit you have together. Many like to put the fruits that are in season into their compote. It is important to remember that this is the perfect time to use whatever is almost ready to be thrown out. When the heat, sugar, and acid is added the fruit will be transformed to it’s almost original state.
Any source of acid should also be pulled out. This can include lime, lemon, or vinegar. Sweeteners such as syrup, honey, and sugar as well as salt should be added to the fruit. It is recommened that different combinations are tried in order to find your favorite.
Step Two
Any parts of the fruit that cannont be eaten should be cut off. Your citrus should be zested and then everything should be put into the pan that you are using. If your compote is going to have a thinner consistency, a few splashes of water or juice should be added.
Step Three
The compote should then be put over low heat. You will know the mixture is ready when you can smell the fruit! Some people choose to let the fruit break down all the way, while others like it to be together. When the fruit is as soft as you want it, the mixture is done. Let the mixture cool.
Step Four (French Toast)
Creating french toast is even easier than making the compote. Eggs, milk, and maple syrup should all be mixed together in a bowl. Bread should then be put into the dish and coated with the mixture. The coated bread should then be put onto a frying pan that is lightly oiled with grease. The french toast should be cooked until they are golden brown.
After the french toast is cooked the warmed compote should then be poured over top. Your meal is now ready to serve!
